Church Facade Maintenance Work

The Malate Church facade is undergoing maintenance work on its facade in preparation for the feast of Our Lady of Remedies this November. Dirt and carbon deposits were removed using non-invasive methods. Moss and other biological growth were removed as well.

Limewash will be re-applied which maintaining the church's color.

Malate Church's unique facade features the Baroque Neo-Mudejar style is one of its distinctive components. Hence, it is important to maintain the structure. The National Museum of the Philippines declared Malate Church as an Important Cultural Property this April 2023.
